What should you check in a trial?

Use a duplicate PSD with text, masks and effects. Compare its appearance, editability and a saved copy reopened in Photoshop. Upstream fixture results do not establish compatibility with your own files.

Scope and limits

These apps are early alpha or in development. Use a copy for an open, edit, save and reopen check, and retain your original. An available installer or higher version number does not establish production readiness.
